Ok so for some reason photoshop likes to squish my paintings. This isn't what it looks like (meaning the image under this). Just imagine it unsquished and normal :)

Again keep it sticky and ALWAYS do what makes you grin.

Modern Day Pirate WIP

So this is something I did tonight. Had some trouble with the face, but I had to get it right before I can move on. Without the face it's just another pretty painting. I think I got the emotion that I was trying to capture pretty well but I'm not entirely sure if I'm ok with it. I still have a lot more adjustments to do on the face and junk but I won't stop until it's as close to perfect as I can get. Well my eyes hurt and it's pretty late so I guess I should go to bed. I'll peep this out tomorrow with some fresh eyes and maybe figure out what I'm missing.

Modern Day Pirate

So it's pretty frustrating not being able to do what you want in programs you don't know. Well to take my mind off that stress I decided to do another painting. Im good at that atleast.

Just the lines, the only thing Im not sure about is the bent leg. It feels to high but Idk. Wish I could get a second opinion. Well guess its to late to ask my mom lol. Any other takers.

Frame by Frame animation I did. Took way to long and I totally did way to much work for this, but I still love the outcome. The only thing that was traced was myself and the electric socket, everything else is straight from my imagination. Hope you enjoy. You can also see it on youtube . It's better quality.

Finally it is complete. Can't wait to get it printed and framed. I'm glad I did this just because I really got to experiment with the software and now I finally know how he does it. I hope people are interested in it because I would love to sell prints. It will help me raise money for Australia :D. Well it's pretty late and I got more work to do. Hop you enjoy. It took about 2 weeks off and on. I will hopefully be doing more soon. I just need some time and good ideas.

I'm almost done just a few touch ups and some extra cool effects and I can send it off to the printers. I really enjoyed doing the gooey slimmy liquids. They look soo cool too. I'm very happy with how its turning out.

WIP

Wow I can't believe I'm on here again. I'm getting pretty good at this. Well another update of my gallery piece. I guess you can't really see a huge difference but its there. I still have a lot of work to do and some cool effects to add in. I hope it looks as good when I get it printed. Maybe better ;). Let me know what you think, any input is good input.

WIP

So this is something I've been working on off and on for a week now. Not finished yet but I hope to have it done before the gallery opening and before the SatelliteSoda's competition deadlines.

So I wanted to do something that was TRON esq since the new movie is coming out and I'm super psyched about it. I also am a huge fan a Dan Luvisi. His style is legendary, although most people don't know of him. Check him out if you like super realistic badassness and a heap of awesome hero's and villan's. I don't want to get ahead of myself but I'm liking what I came up with so far. I got a heap more work to do and I still have to get it printed and framed before the show, wish me luck.

So this is a little sneek peak of a animation I'm working on. Just a playblast of the progress so far not rendered or anything. I won't go into to much detail but I'm pretty excited about it. It's looking a lot better then my first.

Study Abroad

I don't know if you know this but I am study abroad in Brisbane, Australia. From February to June. I am very excited to be on my way. I haven't really been to faithful with updating this but since I told some of the scholarship commitees I would keep a detailed blog about it that gives me even more of a reason to do it. So since the semester is coming to an end I have "heaps" of work to show you. Will it get put up anytime soon, I don't think so. BUT when the semester is over and finals are done I promise I will put everything up.

Also, Im going to be in a gallery show in December. For a month and half, talk about a dream come true. I'll be in the Skyloft gallery, which is in Baltimore City. One of my good friends Catherine Phung is part of a group called Hatch Collective and they are the ones who organized this great opportunity. If you do read this I hope you look into them and come and support us on December 15.

Close Ups

Collage of the Best

4x2 ft oil on canvas.
My final for my painting class this semester.
A collage of artist that I look up to and emulate. None of these works were created by me only replicated by me. I do not currently have permission to post this so it may be gone, but for the time being if you are looking at this take from it and look up some these artists. Let them know that they are appreciated.

To view these artists go to Faves Gallery . Not all the artists works are in the gallery but Im working on that.

Photomanipulation

Untitled

This is latest graffiti image i did in photoshop. I wasn't sure what to do with this one, but I wanted to make it more humorous then serious, like the boy. I tried to create a design that was interesting enough to the viewer. I didn't take this picture though, I asked a friend if I could use it. Unfortunately he wasn't very pleased with the end result. He thought that there wasn't enough perspective in it. Can't argue with him there.

Monster

This is the first one that I did. A lot more successful then the other. The idea was so natural, I think that's why it came out so well. It got me the most views on deviantart.com 123 http://ravaggio220.deviantart.com/art/Monsters-Gotta-Eat-Too-131358040 Again I didn't take the photo I just changed it. The photographer loved it, I'm so glad. I wish I could do more but finding inspiring photos that your allowed to use is hard to come by.

Well that's it for now. I really need to upload more though, wish I wasn't so lazy. Night Night

Interior

This was a piece I did again for my Design l. He was probably my favorite professor that I've had at Towson so far, Jim Condron. Anyway, the purpose for this assignment was to create an environment that had a meaning behind it. I chose my dorm room, only because that was really the only environment that I had at hand. I used my bed and my desk.

To me those are the only things that I need. A place to sleep and a place to work. We had to do use complimentary colors and analogous colors. I chose blue and orange and green, red-violet, and red-orange. The bed and the desk were the compliments and the wrest of the environment were the analogous.

My favorite part is the lamp.
A Dream Differed

So I had to interpret a piece of literature for a project in my Design l class and I chose Langston Hughes A Dream Differed . I know the fact that I took this deep meaningful poem that is suppose to inspire and invoke pride and all that jazz but I put a playful spin on it because thats more my style. I did this on watercolor paper with Prisma Color Markers, Sharpies, and paint pens. I really like the end result and this is the first time I had done anything with markers. Now I cant get enough of them.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

So since I haven't done a very good job of keeping this up to date I'm going to add 1 piece a day until I'm all caught up with what I currently working on. Here's the first.

Drawing l Final

The objective of this assignment was to incorporate yourself into an environment. I chose to show my self creating the environment like a graffiti artist. It was done on 18x24 paper and I used graphite and india ink. The parts done in graphite were like the skeleton of the buildings, and the inked part were the finished environment.

All of the figures are me. I am the creator of my own environment.

I Wish I Was More Like You

So I just took a look at one of my very good friends blog and I can't get over how much she's done in such a short amount of time. I'm very jealous. She's so niffty, and organized. Not at all like me. I wish I could just sit down and organize my life, but O well guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Great Job Catherine.

back to work now working on something new. New Year New Me.

Better Quality Image.
